Caravan Surfing

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

There is nothing better than a glass of Scrumpy cider after a long day of surfing in Cornwall or Devon but there is nothing as bad as trying to get warm and dry in an already damp tent. This is one of the reasons why I no longer camp on my annual pilgrimage to the beach. This summer many hundreds of surfing amateurs and pros alike will be headed for British and European seas, and more of them than ever are going by caravan.

Caravans are by far the best choice for a surfing holiday; there is numerous space for wet suits, towels and surfboards. I don’t have mine board but it’s much less costly to lease one for the week in place of a day. It is not just at a lower cost but you have the chance to really get the experience of the board. Hiring a board for the seven days is pretty challenging without a caravan; even a short board would be difficult to squeeze in a tent. This is one of the reasons why I feel like a pro every year, despite sitting on my board in the green waves and looking for seals for the majority of the day.

The problem with caravans is the insurance. People often forget to ascertain if their insurance can give them the cover they require. If travelling to Europe then you need to ensure you have the right European caravan insurance or else you maybe left less mellow than the normal surfer when something goes wrong! Don’t let some uninsured driver get you to miss the surf this year, get caravan insurance!

Surfing all day means leaving the caravan unattended. Any true surfing lover will realize that the early surf is the better. After all who wants to share the waves with the foam board tourists? That’s why you should make sure that your caravan insurance looks after your contents. Particularly if you’ve any second planks left in it! A great specialist caravan insurance broker will be able to talk you through precisely what your policy includes.

Surfers are meant to be worry free so let someone else do the worrying! Don’t leave anything to chance this summer and get the right insurance for your caravan. Don’t forget that mileage, overseas travel and what you require to protect can all have a bearing on your cover so chat with an agent that can find the correct policy for you. Enjoy the surf!

It’s sometimes difficult to get caravan insurance that covers precisely what you want it to. The best way to ensure that you don’t get swindled by your insurers is to get hold of an insurance broker that has good relationships with insurance providers and who know their field inside out. Get Backpacker Travel Insurance

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

As a backpacker, holiday insurance should be at the top of your list when organising your overseas adventure. Backpacker travel insurance is usually excellent value and will afford you the most needed cover at more general and affordable levels than other coverage so that you can budget your way around the world without having to worry about the costs that illness or accident might incur without paying an arm and a leg for your policy.

Young travelers tend to travel on a shoe string and backpacker travel insurance fits nicely into this scheme of things due to its great value for money. Shoestring travelers also tend to find accommodation on a shoe string which often means that the accommodation is either not in the best condition or could be situated in a less desirable location than other more expensive accommodation. That is what budget travelling is all about but that doesn’t mean that the traveller should fear for their belongings because backpacker travel insurance will cover loss and theft of personal items while you’re on your adventure regardless of the area you stay in or the number of stars that your hotel boasts.

The right policy generally includes cancellation of flights insurance, medical cover, illness and accident cover, damage or loss of personal items cover and often cover for those partaking in extreme sports too.

Shoestring journeys can also be more unpredictable as the more carefree and often younger backpacker tends to be less fussy about the transport that gets them from A to B. Hitch-hiking (whilst not recommended in many areas) is very popular and certain precautions should always be taken but this doesn’t guard against the unpredictability of it.

Cheaper air travel and land travel are a priority to the budget traveler and sometimes this means a lengthier journey and more stations leaving the backpacker, once again, open to more unforeseen circumstances. Finding the right insurance means finding the affordable and smart way to protect you against such unexpected problems.

This is the authentic way to travel and a memorable way to meet locals and get an insider’s view into a city. You’ll be exposed to more realistic situations in foreign cities which will enrich your travel experience and makes living on a tight budget well worth it, however, one should never leave home without backpacker travel insurance.

Travel Insurance

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

Travel insurance is a product designed to cover you when things go wrong and problems arise while you’re on your travels. Travel insurance is cover that is intended to look after any medical expenses, monetary losses (such as money invested in non-refundable pre-payments), and other things lost or stolen while travelling, either within your own country, or in other countries. Travel insurance is a way of offering you and your familiy peace of mind and also minimising the considerable financial risks of going away. Travel insurance costs a percentage of trip costs, that is typically between 4 and 8%. Travel insurance is an integral part of any holiday, not just a luxury.

Insurance brokers have access to a wide range of travel insurance companies and should be able to find you the appropriate travel insurance. Insurance policies and their provisions usually become active as soon as payment is made. This means that you can buy your policy online and at the last minute, for instance, at the airport before you board your airplane. For people travelling as a couple, travel insurance will be cheaper than for two single adults, and cover for a family with young children is not usually much more expensive than cover for a couple. Speak with your provider who will adjust your travel insurance policy to suit your needs and potential risks you might face during your trip.

Travel insurance is the one and only tool you need to prepare for the unexpected on a trip abroad but bear in mind that most sections of your policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section.

Travel insurance is your ultimate tool for preparing for the unexpected on a trip abroad but bear in mind that most sections of your policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section.

There’s no legal requirement for you to have insurance when you travel abroad but if you find yourself in a situation that puts strain on your safety or finances you’ll bless the day you took a policy out because travelling with no insurance puts you at serious risk which you might not be able to handle. The good news is that travel insurance is getting cheaper so now hopefully more people will realise that travel insurance is indeed a wise decision.

Cheap Travel Insurance

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

The cost of your travel insurance is important but what’s more vital is the level of service provided during an insurance claim. Most travel insurance packages are similar to each other as the dangers encountered on travels are much the same for everyone however, travel insurance can be available at vastly varying costs. Seeking out cheap travel insurance should not jeopardise the level of your cover but you need to read the conditions accompanying any policy before buying it. There are hoards of travel insurance providers and a policy can be emailed to you no matter where you are. Insurance can even be secured from the airport prior to departure. The ideal people to get your travel insurance from are travel insurance providers, not companies that provide travel insurance as an extra service and don’t specialise in it.

If you buy your cheap travel insurance online, you save the insurance provider overhead costs and these savings should be reflected in what you pay for your policy. Most internet-based companies will offer up to 10% off the total cost of your travel insurance if you buy you policy through their website. If travel insurance is cheap it does not mean that the cover is likely to be inadequate.

A travel insurance policy worth buying needs to include: a ‘No Excess Waiver’ which enables you to waiver the excess cost when you purchase your policy; 24 Hr Worldwide Medical Emergency Service; 25% Rule – you can leave your designated cover ‘area’ for 25% of the length of your policy;– day ‘no questions asked’ money back guarantee; automatic cover for 80+ adventure sports including bungee jumping, surfing, parascending & white water rafting; Your Insurance should be a ‘Living Document,’ which means you should be able to manipulate certain aspects of your policy as you travel.

If you’re travelling in a foreign country then you need travel insurance. It’s not just a luxury that depends on how much money you have left over after paying for your flights.

You stand just as much chance of falling ill whilst away as anyone else does and unfortunately most countries don’t have the infrastructure to make the best of care available to everyone in an emergency. If you find yourself in a medical emergency your insurance is designed to step in and get you adequate medical attention whether it involves finding the best doctors to see you or flying you to another destination better equipped to deal with you.

When you arrange your cheap travel insurance, buying yourself a flexible policy means that you can update your policy from your holiday destination via the internet. This is an extremely useful tool if you’re likely to change your travel dates or want to add new belongings to your insurance cover.
